How to make the gyrate and diminished quasirhombicosidodecahedra in Stella 4.4

[edit]

You need to excavate pentagrammic faces with "Q 5/3" (don't use the inbuilt cupola augmentation, as it doesn't seem to realize that you can augment from the base or the top. Then you can take the uncovered decagrams and reaugmented the cupolae in different orientations. (Make sure you're not taking the one with icosahedral symmetry.)

This is going to require heroic powers of visualization. g = gyrate, 2 = bi, 3 = tri, p = para, m = meta, d = diminished. Now the easy thing to do would be to just take pictures from McNeill's VRML files. Naturally this is not what I am going to do.
