Is he young enough to have been through the UAI system? Anyone know his age?

Date Format and Quotes

[edit]

I made an addition to the page regarding a joke in an episode of The Chaser's War On Everything into a Trivia section, but I don't have a direct quote. Anyone who frequents this page and edits should feel free to take note on Friday 5 May, 2007, or podcast, to get a quote to clean things up...
Or following the pattern that everyone else has taken just delete my contributions... I don't care anymore...

Inaccuracy

[edit]

Take a look at this discussion on the Australian notice board for centralised discussion about Chris and Craig's latest comments. -- Chuq 00:43, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just compiling some facts and sources here, which I'll add to the article when they're somewhat coherent:
  • Reucassel graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002 [1]
  • His wife's name is Keisha [2]
  • If he did achieve a UAI of 99.95 (and he said on radio he didn't), he should be listed on the NSW Board of Studies website. There is a Garth Ian Reucassel of Bowral High School listed as a high achiever in the 1996 HSC here. A relation or a mix-up perhaps?
--Canley 12:27, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Craig's middle name is Bruce

UAIs - however I think it would have been TER when he finished college - are kept private, names of the achievers are not released by the Board of Studies. Not being on the high achiever list doesn't unnecessarily mean that he didn't achieve 99.95. Jockmonkey 05:50, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dates of the TV shows

[edit]

In the article I added the line:

television shows on ABC TV; The Election Chaser (2001), CNNNN (2002), CNNNN Live (2003), The Chaser Decides (2004, 2005) and The Chaser's War on Everything (2006).

but Chuq has let me know that that is wrong (thanks mate :), so I have removed the dates for now.

The line in the source I used (Quinn) was:

They have since achieved a foothold in radio and television, winning Logies in 2004 and 2005 for ABC program The Chaser Decides. Other popular offerings have included The Election Chaser in 2001, CNNNN in 2002 and CNNNN Live in 2003

So I have probably not accounted for logies not being awarded in the airing year etc, sorry about that.--Commander Keane 01:13, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Craig has an account and is vandalising

[edit]

Right here - Craig Reucassel (talk · contribs) haha thatsunny --Imroy 03:36, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On Triple J right now, it's been confirmed that the user account User:Craig Reucassel isn't really Craig Reucassel. --DWZ (talkemailcontribs) 05:56, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can confirm this- I'm the Will who rang Triple J. Wmoisis 06:00, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can confirm that Charles Firth is the vandal Special:Contributions/203.20.35.28 who (as part of his Festival of Ideas show) publicly vandalised this Craig Reucassel article, the Julian Morrow Article (with the assistance of Julian Morrow) and who added an accurate discription of the ABC to Australian Broadcasting Corporation which was censored. See the Advertiser, July 9, 2007. He was probably not responsible for other edits by that IP, because he has been in the USA. Carl Kenner 19:29, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The photo of Reucassel

[edit]

The photo is horrifying. We need a new one! 83.219.196.48 (talk) 01:04, 23 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birth date

[edit]

In 2015, this unsourced edit by an unregistered user (who has only ever made 6 Wikipedia edits) changed the date from 31 December 1976 to 1 January 1977, where it's remained ever since.

We can do better than this. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 21:35, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Good pick-up, JackofOz. I've removed dob altogether, per WP:DOB,after a quick google. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 23:25, 13 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Written like a puff-piece

[edit]

Since this revision in March, this article reads less like an article and more like the blurb on the back of an autobiography. It's also unsourced. Stelith (talk) 10:58, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Completely agree - this language is almost like an AI has been asked to write a flattering bio of Craig - it's written so oddly I'm commenting on Wikipedia for the very first time. Suggest someone pulls it back? 2401:D002:F306:B300:C0C9:65C7:AA07:D578 (talk) 01:35, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
