18.6% of 537m is more than 99m. There is no way an active runway has this much slope.

Please refer to this photo of a 7% slope — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.30.30.62 (talk) 03:12, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, the section of the runway that sits at 18.66% is 280m in length. Check the airport chart, it's in the refs, I've just updated the URL. Bellerophon talk to me 08:03, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for adding the link, but I would suggest the following, "The airfield has a very short runway of only 537 metres (1,762 ft). The runway is extremely steep, changing in elevation by over 52m in one 280m section. The gradient of this portion is 18.6%, more than twice as steep as the steepest highway sections."

18.6% gradient is such an outlandish number, I think just tossing it in tends more to raise questions than provide information. 108.30.30.62 (talk) 13:48, 14 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Tour de France stage map for today said 18% too. Mr Larrington (talk) 19:25, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
