The result of the proposal was no consensus to move. --RegentsPark (talk) 21:43, 26 August 2010 (UTC) Corazon Soliman → Dinky Soliman — Relisted for further input. Jafeluv (talk) 08:56, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

- Oppose - no reasoning given for why it should be moved. From the history it seems the anon wishes to use this person's nickname instead of their proper name. Dinky Soliman is already a redirect here and the nickname is included in the first line so what need is there to move with alleged popular culture? Green Giant (talk) 03:45, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
- Comment - Her nickname Dinky Soliman is far more notable than her real name. Similar to Kris Aquino or Satur Ocampo.-99.98.165.151 (talk) 19:27, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
- Comment - If she was very famous, and the whole world called her Dinky, then I would not object to this move. However, having a nickname does not mean we have to use it as an article name. We have Joseph Estrada but not Erap or Erap Estrada, Corazon Aquino but not Cory Aquino, Fidel V. Ramos but not Eddie Ramos and outside the Phillipines, George W. Bush but not Dubya. Green Giant (talk) 05:01, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose - Formal Philippine news media, like newspapers, overwhelmingly use the formal name, or include the nickname with the formal name. The same should apply here for other articles of Cabinet members which currently have their nicknames as their article titles, like Ping De Jesus (should be Jose de Jesus). --Sky Harbor (talk) 13:19, 5 August 2010 (UTC)
