Sulphuric acid
[edit]This: In 1955, a unit for producing sulfuric acid, needed for extracting heavy metals, was inaugurated is perhaps a misunderstanding? The production of sulphuric acid is merely a means of disposing of SO2 resulting from the sintering ZnS and PbS ores. Also sulfuric oxide mentioned in the Environmental impact section is not a recognized term as far as I (as a non-chemist) am aware, but probably refers to sulphur oxides SO2 and SO3 which escape conversion into acid (or rather, are converted to acid in the environment as opposed to in the acid plant). --catslash (talk) 18:56, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
