Bill the specs ref TDCS is for a large 6 cylinder engine, the figures are for a small 4 cylinder engine, strictly I suppose the 'variants' are engine types in their own right and this title should be an overview article. I'm guessing they all used the same cylinders, this is exactly what Lycoming do with the four cylinder O-360, six cylinder O-540 etc, these engines are very similar to this Continental range, if we can find the TCDS for all the engines then we have more articles that can be produced quite quickly, cheers Gary. This will help [1] Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 21:36, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Gary, the 4-cylinder specs are just there for filler - I stole them from the O-200 page! I know there are several types of engines, but I don't know if we'll ever have enough info for more than one article. The 6-cylinder model in the specs appears to be about the only one that had any significant prodution, so we may not find specs for the others, but if we do, good. They did all use the same cylinders, as far as I can tell from what I've found. There really isn't much on the series available, so if we only have one decent article, that is more that most sources have! Thansk for your help, it is much appreciated. I do have some info from Gunston and a few other sources that describe the gearing and other features of the engines, but I don't understand most of it. I'll try to copy it here this week or neext, adn see if your or some of the others can "interpret" it! - BilCat (talk) 22:19, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
That's fine, just need to word it so the specs are representative, would have thought that there would be TCDS for the others? As you say if there is not a lot on them then they can be covered here, I would change 'variants' to 'series' or 'range' as they are no more variants than a Lycoming O-360 or O-540 are. I'm sure RR made these, there was a little Cessna in the hangar with a small six cylinder 'Conti' in it a couple of weeks ago, I'm not really up on their engines. Roger on the theft!!Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 22:26, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. Yes, RR did make some of them, problaby in the 6-range. I'll change the Variants to something else before going live, whenever that is! - BilCat (talk) 22:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
No rush! Besides the pay is lousy! Nimbus (Cumulus nimbus floats by) 22:59, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Specs

Hey Bill, I'm much more a jet engine expert, but I went through the doc and pulled the basic stuff I can outta that. I left everything I wasn't sure about blank, so just add anything else you know. -SidewinderX (talk) 01:14, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
