The result of the move request was: moved. No prejudice against a future RM discussing whether it should be spelled out in full. Jenks24 (talk) 13:21, 20 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

ComSubPacCOMSUBPAC – Official capitalization, which is already in primary use throughout the article. – 72.200.151.13 (talk) 04:50, 11 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Just an addendum: the two terms are frequently used interchangeably anyway, but generally speaking, in an initialism, all the letters are pronounced separately: FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.. In an acronym, the term is spoken as if it were a word: NATO, LASER, RADAR, etc. COMSUBPAC and COMSUBLANT are spoken as words. Hence, acronyms. Also, I wouldn't be opposed myself to simply writing out the whole thing in both cases, but COMSUBPAC and COMSUBLANT just hit my eyes and ears better. 72.200.151.13 (talk) 00:30, 26 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
