Never done this before.
[edit]Hey, I see a few contradictions on this page, but I'm not sure if they're wrong. It says the SCAMP was conceived in 1969, but designed in 1971. Alright, fair enough, the idea came before it was designed. Finally, it says in the sidebar it was produced before either date; from 1957 until 1992. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.22.139.89 (talk) 08:43, 16 February 2017 (UTC)
I'll try this one
[edit]As an abject noob, I have little faith I put this article into wiki style, but I do think I can update it. Give me a couple of days. Tychocat 08:54, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Original three-paragraph article was apparently lifted whole from the website http://www.military.com/soldiertech/0,14632,Soldiertech_PDW,,00.html). I've fixed that, and added citations and references. Tychocat 10:03, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
Inappropriate sources
[edit]Reference no. 1 to "Kitsune'" is not a valid source of information. The figures given on that source for the effective range for the Colt SCAMP are nonsensical. It is implausible that a small-calibre pistol can have a longer maximum firing range than most anti-materiel rifles. I suggest removing this source and any references to it: http://www.kitsune.addr.com/Firearms/Submachine-Guns/Colt_SCAMP.htm
Similarly, any information referenced from video game fan sites for real world weaponry should be considered similarly inappropriate.
