Present Status of the Language
[edit]The Cochimí language as the term is understood here has been extinct for at least a century. There is a community in northwestern Baja California that sometimes refer to themselves as "Cochimí," but their language is a dialect of Tipai, not Cochimí. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rhyme4 (talk • contribs) 15:23, 30 April 2015 (UTC)
Added a template message
[edit]I feel that the lead section is too long as it makes up all the article except a small bit about language. Should I keep this template message? Should I split the lead section into multiple sections?77Ravin77 (talk) 17:50, 27 June 2017 (UTC)
