- St. Theresa of the Child Jesus is named after Teresa of Avila under a nuanced name. --Keevan Daley 22:25, 29 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- And please prevent from linking long, involved formal honorifics — for example the monsignor's name. --Keevan Daley 22:29, 29 Jul 2004 (UTC)
- Keevan, in deference to the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council's Decree on Bishops (Christus Dominus), I have deleted the term throne.
- Keevan, as to your first point above, I respectfully disagree for the following reasons: (1) I live in Honolulu and attend the Co-Cathedral's services on a regular basis; (2) I was present at the dedicatory ceremonies when the church was elevated to the dignity of Co-Cathedral; (3) The Ordo (Order of Prayer for the Liturgy of the Hours and the Eucharist) for the metropolitan province of San Francisco, that includes the diocese of Honolulu, lists the patronal feast day of the Cathedral as that for Saint Theresa of Lisieux, aka, Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus, aka Therèse Martin of Alçenon, recently proclaimed as Doctor of the Church by Pope John Paul II in 1997; (4) the main stained-glass window in the choir loft depicts the Little Flower, patroness of the missions dropping a shower of roses on the earth. Please see http://reference.allrefer.com/encyclopedia/T/TheresaL.html. I will respectfully make the necessary edits.
So where is it?
[edit]The description "outskirts of Honolulu" not very precise. From this page I get 712 North School Street, 21°19′27″N 157°51′39″W / 21.32417°N 157.86083°W in Kapālama but need a reliable source. W Nowicki (talk) 00:53, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
