Fair use rationale for Image:Torino peru.png
[edit]Image:Torino peru.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Club Atlético Torino → Atlético Torino – Atlético Torino is the best description of the club. It satisfies the five points of WP:CRITERIA.
- Recognizability - It is the most recognizable name. The following sources are just a few of many sources that refer to the club as "Atlético Torino" [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
- Naturalness - I believe users would naturally use its most recognizable name—Atlético Torino—when typing its wikilink as shown by the previous sources.
- Precision - Atlético Torino is the most precise description of the club as–demonstrated by the sources above—is the common name.
- Conciseness - Atlético Torino is as concise as it can be. Adding "Club" to the beginning makes it unnecessarily longer than it needs to be. In addition, there is no need to disambiguate this article title.
- Consistency - several other clubs known to have the "Club Atlético" style of club names do not bother with club such as Atlético Minero, Atlético Universidad, Atlético Grau, and Atlético Chalaco.
In Peru, reliable sources tend to omit the word "Club" and never abbreviate phrases such as "Club Deportivo" or "Club Atlético. The exception is FBC in FBC Melgar which is known to be seen in some football clubs like José Gálvez FBC and the former Association FBC. MicroX (talk) 18:53, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

- Support per nom. Hits all five points of WP:CRITERIA, as you've demonstrated. --BDD (talk) 21:31, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose - searching for Club Atlético Torino gives 1,250 million hits on google, while Atlético Torino only gives 252 million hits on google. It should be noted that the sources the nominator has provided is in Spanish, and our naming policy states that we should use the name that is most used in English sources. This reliable English source uses the full name. Having "Club" included in the article-title is consistent with other football club titles; we don't use Bayern Munich and Manchester United but FC Bayern Munich and Manchester United F.C.. - In the source you provided the page lists the club without "Club" as well. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if soccerway used Wikipedia as their source for Club Atlético Torino. Additionally, clicking your link, Club Atlético Torino did not give me 1,250 million results. It gave me 291,000 results. Atlético Torino gave me 204,000 results; it isn't exactly an abysmal difference. Consistency shouldn't be the only deciding factor in this discussion. Boca Juniors had a move request a while back and the consensus was move per WP:COMMONNAME. Why should Atlético Torino be denied WP:COMMONNAME for consistency's sake? I have demonstrated how Atlético Torino satisfies all five criteria. --MicroX (talk) 21:08, 2 August 2013 (UTC)
- Strong support. With all due respect, raw WP:GOOGLEHITS are really shaky. Our naming policy is not. Red Slash 02:13, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
