Potentially to be longer than the 2016 chronological summary

[edit]

I expect this to eventually be longer than the 2016 chronological summary, if editors want to add detailed summaries and scores this year too instead of just the medal winners. Not only are there more events scheduled for Tokyo, but also the possibility of events being delayed/rescheduled if there are outbreaks of positive COVID-19 tests. {{Collapse top}} and other collapsing tables were added to the 2016 page in attempt to minimize the appearance of the large page size. However, currently in July 2021 collapsible tables are disabled on the mobile version of Wikipedia, and they do not make a significant impact in loading and saving times, so those trying to access this on a mobile device will be out of luck. Eventually, the long term solution to large page sizes would be to split the page. Zzyzx11 (talk) 00:49, 21 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Adding another table listing the top NOCs by no. of athletes for this year only adds to the page size. Zzyzx11 (talk) 11:18, 23 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Rowing

[edit]

Rowing has had two schedule changes due to bad weather. First, they cleared the Monday, with events brought forward to Sunday. Then, they cleared the Tuesday, with events being pushed out further back. Somebody might want to update the table accordingly. Schwede66 03:18, 26 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
