Question

[edit]

Did any of the Orthodox Christians survive the Islamic period to the present day or did they all converted to Islam?--Queen Elizabeth II's Little Spy (talk) 18:04, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can't figure out how to link to the Wikipedia category Sudanese diaspora. I've tried several ways to eliminate this red link, but all attempts to link to the existing category just eliminate the text, rather than create a link to the existing category page.Jweaver28 (talk) 13:01, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Copts in Sudan and the Byzantine Empire.

[edit]

The section "Coptic Christianity" is interesting as it seems to conflate Byzantine Orthodoxy and Coptic Non-Chalcedonian ("miaphysite" as we're supposed to say today) Orthodoxy. These were rival religions and did not cooperate. Perhaps either the title of this section should be changed, or it should be made clear that Byzantine Orthodoxy was a competitor to Coptic Christianity. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 03:38, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
