Relevance
[edit]A few reasons this is notable:
- Is in use by a large number of domains: http://www.cherokee-project.com/cherokee-domain-list.html
- Has an active very development base: http://lists.octality.com/pipermail/cherokee/
- already exists in Wikipedia in 8 other languages (see links to other language articles)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Kallisti05 (talk • contribs)
- While I won't put the relevance of this software in question, please note we need to have external references about it. If the article is sourced only with links from within Project Cherokee, one could expect some bias, don't you think? Thank you for your cooperation, Cvalda (talk) 15:35, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- FYI, it is one of the three servers (the other two being Apache and lighttpd) listed on the official Django docs: https://docs.djangoproject.com/en/dev/topics/email/ michaelb Talk to this user 03:03, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
References
[edit]Cherokee was featured in the spanish TODO Linux magazine: http://www.alobbs.com/photolog/dsc02985 unfortunatly i can't work out the date of the issue, (I don't speak spanish), so if someone who does speak spanish could track down the magazine details that would make a decent reference
It was also in El Pais: http://www.alobbs.com/photolog/Cherokee_EL_PAIS
and also in the spanish edition of yahoo news: http://www.cherokee-project.com/mediacontent/Yahoo_on_Cherokee.html (the link on that page is dead?) JasperWallace (talk) 18:15, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
