Old article

[edit]

This article is very out of date, and doesn't look like it's been updated in a couple of years. If someone has the time...? 210.50.248.14 (talk) 18:18, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I updated it a little as it seems the part of her being a nurses aide was not in it. Many stories around say she was a full nurse and she also did not offer any medical attention to him so i think it is revelant to the article. I also added a Ref to a CNN article that points out she was a nurse aide. --Marlin1975 (talk) 12:45, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Intro

[edit]

Do we really need to point out she is African American is the first sentence? I mean, if her race is an issue, shoudn't it be discussed in the proper context? 207.5.235.198 (talk) 14:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking the exact same thing. Based on the line about 'some white guy' in the article, and the comment below, I'd say pointing out she's black was done by someone angered by her racism. (And how much do you want to bet they've never gotten upset about a white person saying something disparaging about a black person?) I'm removing it...no articles on Wikipedia begin with 'John Smith is a white American...' If it's so important, find a picture of her. --Marco Passarani (talk) 23:16, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the line 'I hit this white man...' is taken directly from the CourtTV article. If someone wants to edit this plagiarism, feel free, otherwise it should go. --Marco Passarani (talk) 23:23, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

1. Wikipedia does not handle "Sensitivities" such as racial stuff, facts are prioritized far beyond "how people might feel about it" this is necessary in order to keep articles FACTUAL 2. "I hit this white man" is not a plagiarized line, it is a FACT and the CourtTV article is A SOURCE, you people are an bunch of amateurs and should be banned from Wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.212.147.58 (talk) 02:19, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit this was not a murder nor was it racial ..also he did not die several days later ..he was dead by the morning This was a suicide and Mallard did not cause the accident nor did her drug use play a part — Preceding unsigned comment added by 40.142.177.45 (talk) 21:58, 8 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Considering some of the racist shit she said about the man dying in her windshield (not mentioned on this page) why the hell not mention her race? --JorgeK

Simply her name implies an African-American heritage. And what was she on? PCP? Magmagoblin (talk) 16:26, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She was on Ecstasy. --Ashershow1talk 03:39, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is about straight facts, not "implications" or "sensitivities to what people might take offense to" This is a disgustingly bad article altered and ruined by amateurs that never read the freaking rules — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.212.147.58 (talk) 02:20, 27 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

WP: Not News?

[edit]

How is this person notable? Perhaps the incident is notable, but not the person. I will be nominating this for a redirect to some sort of article about this event. --Ashershow1talk 03:38, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The references provide plenty of evidence of notability, as does the fact that her story has been adapted into two television episodes and two films. Perhaps an article on the event might be preferable, but I think this one's fine as it is. Robofish (talk) 20:24, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
