[edit]Hi,
Not sure how to create a category of Chancellors.
Only have two but hope to have others in time.
Explaining my edit
[edit]I have removed the pre-1918 chancellors from the list, as they were chancellors of the University of the Cape of Good Hope, which is not the predecessor of UCT. The predecessor of UCT is the South African College. Before 1918, the SAC prepared students for examinations set by the UCGH and degrees were awarded in the name of the UCGH. In 1918 the SAC became UCT and a fully independent university, and the UCGH became Unisa. Unfortunately the UCT article is not very clear on this part of the history. - htonl (talk) 02:02, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
Suggestions
[edit]I strongly feel that this should be merged with the main article University of Cape Town as there is barely any content here. Unless of course there is reason to believe that we will get a comprehensive analysis of the history of the office and biographies of the officeholders. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.113.121.191 (talk) 19:43, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
