Suggestions from Citra

Hi Adam! I really liked your article, it was very interesting to read. The main thing that I would suggest editing is the page formatting/organization. Instead of having a lot of sections, you might want to make the different types of materials to be sub-sections under the surface color sections. You might want to resize some pictures to be smaller to make it a better fit into the overall page. Also, the "Photo History" section might be better combined with the Introduction. Other than that, nice article! Planetarysprotege (talk) 14:42, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I like your pictures. but I've noticed one of your pictures has the original caption. Consider changing it, or paraphrasing it.also consider expanding your (pictures) if you think its more appealing, This is how you do it Wikipedia:Picture tutorial. one more thing, The Dates issue in your citations have an easy fix. Within your citation formula make sure you have the date in this format, for example: "date=2000" so you won't get the (check dates values) red note at bottom sources section. Overall, your work is good. Another thing: consider moving this hook "This region is full of features that provide clues to the volcanism, tectonism, and magmatic processes on Io. Similar concepts happening on Io have been thought to have occurred in Earth's past, and some terrestrial analogues occur today." next to the second sentence in the Article. One more thing, (NIMS stands for Near-Infrared Mapping Spectrometer. Breaking down the main patera subheading could help the reader fully benefit from the text - I know this could be hard-. It looks good Adam. I would suggest reading over it carefully as there were a few spelling and grammatical errors. You need to include the "abstract" of the page at the beginning and not just an overview. Also, I feel the color implications section could be a bit more condensed. Maybe only include the most relevant ones or clump similar "material" together. I also wouldn't put reference numbers in the middle of a sentence because I feel like it awkwardly breaks up the text.

Adam, this is quite a detailed draft. However, your "Overview" section seems to be a combination of abstract+introduction–––I think these sections should stand alone not be combined into one. Also, at the end of this "Overview" section, you list some paterae found in the region; I wonder if this wouldn't stand better as a bulleted list. (Just a suggestion) You might try switching the position of your references to outside of the full stop. I don't have much to say on the "Color Implications", only that it might be helpful to place an image of such within that section. Good draft though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mangolava (talkcontribs) 02:23, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Adam, you have one helluva outline going. When I open the page I do not see a title with the subject. You may want to add a title and have then have an introductory paragraph before the contents page. Because of how many subheadings you have, the content list is pretty long and creates a large empty white space to the right. This may be a good spot for a blown up picture or map. I agree with Rob that maybe you can try and clump some of the similar material together but if not maybe play around with different formatting to clean up the smaller paragraphs. Other than that and the above comments I think you are off to a great start.

Typo: Migration patterns can be concluded from changes in pictures from the Voyager to the Galileo.

Overall, great article. I have a couple suggestions: Consider changing the formatting of the surface colors sections. You can make subtitles in that section by using an extra = on the title. You can also shrink the images at the end a little bit so they will fit better on the page. Awebb6 (talk) 13:15, 31 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
