Seat change
[edit]Just to clear up the facts, at the last election Plaid had 19 seats, Lib Dems 10, Independents 12 and Labour 1. Plaid won one seat (Rheidol) from the Liberal Democrats in a by-election, so the council composition at the start of this year was Plaid 20, Lib Dems 9, Independents 12 and Labour 1.
However, the convention on election pages is to compare full election results to the previous full election. As an example, see the 2010 general election results, which do not take into account by-elections which have happened between 2005 and 2010. As an example, Norwich North would be counted as a Conservative gain from Labour in 2010 compared to 2005, DESPITE being won by the Conservatives in a 2009 by-election.
On the constituency page itself, 2010 is listed as a Conservative Hold (here, compared to the by-election.
Therefore, I would suggest that the full election results on the article say Plaid Cymru: no change, Lib Dems: -3, Independents: +3, Labour: no change. And on the individual wards we compare to the by-election, so Rheidol would be Independent gain from Plaid Cymru.
(Though as a Lib Dem, I do recognise that Lib Dems: -2 would be a better reflection of the overnight change :P )

[edit]Unless there is any objection I intend to clean up by removing the list of nominations as this information is available in the results sectionMacs15 (talk) 09:58, 5 March 2016 (UTC)
