Merger proposal
[edit]The other articles (Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering and Center for Advanced Studies in Science & Engineering) seem to be duplicates of this one. A quick look at the bottom of each article shows they all link to the same webpage (http://www.case.edu.pk).

1. yes you right...but its name is CENTER FOR ADVANCE STUDIES IN ENGINEERING...so it should not be related with Center for Advanced Studies in Science & Engineering. 2. i made some changes that were needed ASAP. 3. But how can i change the title...still Advanced there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.2.177.245 (talk) 00:22, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

[edit]Please have a look on the Institution webs page, and over there it is "Center for Advance studies in Engineering" rather then "Center for Advanced studies in Engineering" so it is better to remove "Center for Advanced studies in Engineering" or can mege but remains name will be the same i-e "Center for Advance studies in Engineering" , Ur suggestions awaiting Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Azamishaque (talk • contribs) 04:48, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
- I agree: delete Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering. The only extra information is:
The B.Sc Electrical programme, accridated [sic] by PEC, has variants of Telecommunication Engineering and Computer Engineering.

History
CASE was started on 12 September 2001 at Software Technology Park, 5-A Constitution Avenue, G-5/1, Islamabad, in affiliation with University of Engineering and Technology Taxila. The affiliation makes CASE as a sub-campus of UET, Taxila and permits it to start M.Sc. and Ph.D degree programs in computer engineering. CASE was inaugurated by the Minister of Science and Technology Prof. Dr. Ata Ur Rehman. Dr. Kamal Athar started as the Director CASE from 2001 until 2003. CASE was started with an excellent faculty of 9 PhDs and 3 M.Scs.- But hang on, in this article's History section: "To realize the dream EET was established ...". Who or what is "EET"?

Move proposal
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of the proposal. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the proposal was Move Parsecboy (talk) 16:10, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
It's only the website title that has "advance". All mentions I can see in the text have "advanced", including hte banner on the page itself. However, this page has the most content, so I will merge the other two pages to here, then move this page to Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering. The other names will redirect to the main page. --Rogerb67 (talk) 21:49, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Center for Advance Studies in Engineering → Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering —(Discuss)— "Advanced" is the correct spelling - confusion only exists because of a typo in the institution's website title. Actual page content uses "Advanced" --Rogerb67 (talk) 22:46, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
- Support. Possibly uncontroversial. Andrewa (talk) 05:05, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Support - I agree, "Advance" is clearly a typo. Scog (talk) 17:18, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
