Merging to HIF to LC 37 tag
[edit]Merging the Horizontal Integration Facility info to this article seems like a good idea. There's not enough detail there to warrent a seperate article, imo. -Fnlayson 21:12, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Isn't there s also a Horizontal Integration Facility at Vandenberg AFB Space Launch Complex 6 for use with West-coast Delta-IV launches? (Sdsds - Talk) 05:02, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- There's defintely a building that serves the same purpose at VAFB SLC 6. It may be named something else for all I know. -Fnlayson 14:37, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think the Soyuz launch vehicles are also assembled horizontally at Baikonur Cosmodrome. Maybe the best future for the "Horizontal Integration Facility" article would be for it to get expanded to include the several facilities which all fit this description, rather than having it focus on just the one at CC. Of course then maybe it should be titled, "Horizontal integration facility" without the caps for each word.... (Sdsds - Talk) 18:51, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good idea if the information is available. The title should include launch vehicle or rocket in it to clarify. -Fnlayson 18:59, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

Mobile Service Structure on both pads?
[edit]In the article, its says the mobile service structure can be used on one pad(37A or 37B) but not both simultaneously. However, when checking on the site with Google Earth, it looks as though the mobile service structure is on rails and can only work on pad 37B. Is it somehow capable of being moved sideways to pad 37A or is the article wrong? 2604:2D80:6305:600:35CD:EAF8:BC99:6463 (talk) 08:43, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
