***IMPORTANT*** CGT ARTICLE PROPOSAL

[edit]

Hello, I have come up with a layout that will suit the article in the as the show progresses. Some is from the AGT article but with some changes. Please leave feed back of this propsal after the original post. Thank-you!

This table will be used to describe each act during the audition stage of the show. Numbers 1-5 are one way to colour the chart and numbers 6-11 are another way with less colours.

Feedback

[edit]

Please post any feedback here so I can improve the original proposal. Thank-you!--Dom497 (talk) 02:16, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is the table above anything like the other "Got Talent" tables? Is there a "WikiProject Got Talent"? If no, you might want to start one? Kingjeff (talk) 02:35, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think the colors from 1-5 just stand out too much. I much prefer the 2nd option. I am looking forward to helping you guys on CGT!Sensfan

Got Talent WikiProject...Show Your Support!!!

[edit]

Hello, I have created a proposal on creating a WikiProject for the entire Got Talent series (Canada, America, Italy...every country that has the show!!!). If you are interested in joining this project, please go here and add your name to the list. I hope to get the project running as soon as possible, but I need a few committed people to help. I will be sending messages to people who have been editing the Got Talent articles in hopes of grabbing their attention. PLEASE SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!!!--Dom497 (talk) 21:08, 10 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Live Show Updates

[edit]

Just wanted to let everyone know that I will be able to provide live updates for the Toronto auditions tonight. Even though we will not be able to add references for the auditions tonight, tomorrow CGT will release the full episode on their website which we can add the reference then. --Dom497 (talk) 23:35, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I may be new here, but is that necessary ? Wikipedia is not a breaking news source; do we need it to be up to the second? Correctness is more important than expediancy, in this humble editors opinion. --RichardMills65 (talk) 02:27, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I learned my lesson during the first episode. I had to watch the show twice because I was to busy stopping, rewinding, etc. Trust me, I wont be doing live updates any more...any time soon!!!--Dom497 (talk) 03:29, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dom – Live show problem

[edit]

Look, we *don't* need to put what the judges thought of a performance and what the performance was. We're Wikipedia, an encylopedia, not CityTV news service! - Sensfan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sensfan (talkcontribs) 20:48, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You can delete the info if you want...no one is stopping you.--Dom497 (talk) 00:19, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings

[edit]

I put the ratings for shows 8->onwards last week from an IP (not signed in). I put the references for each value today (is this necessary? Seems like a lot of excess referencing of the same source – the Brioux Report). I'll mention a few things – each Brioux Report covers a week from Monday-Sunday. Hence, each Monday night show and the following Sunday night show will have their ratings in the same Brioux Report. Is there a way for the ratings to share the same reference? i.e. "Semi-Final 2 Results" show and "Semi-Final 3" show have the same reference (Brioux Report) link – is there a way to make them numerically the same reference? I've just referenced each one uniquely, which makes for a lot of references.

A few other notes: I changed "Halifax" to "Halifax and Vancouver Part 2" because that's what it was. Although CGT initially planned to air one episode per Sunday, they ended up showing one show at 8:00 PM and one at 9:00 PM. The Winnipeg show aired at 9:00 PM following the 8:00 PM Vancouver show. "Toronto Part 2" aired at 9:00 PM following the 8:00 PM Halifax/Vancouver2 show. The Cutdown show aired at 9:00 PM following the 8:00 PM Montreal show.

As well, "Semi-Final 1" and "Semi-Final 1 Results" show aired on the Monday and Tuesday of that week. These two episodes thus share the same Brioux Report as "Semi-Final 2". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Armstrong77 (talkcontribs) 00:25, 13 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I will fix this up.--Dom497 (talk) 01:16, 14 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There seems to be a lot of editing on the viewership for the Calgary episode. The correct rating is 1.120, which keeps being deleted. It is 1.120, and the source is same one that gives the week rank of 23. Since the week rank citation is on the same line as the ratings citation, I don't see a need to put the reference superscript in both cells.Armstrong77 (talk) 00:18, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is it necessary for all the episodes after episode #2 to be cited as having a week rank >31? The citations are correct in that CGT doesn't appear on any of those linked top-30 lists, but is all this extraneous linking necessary, since none of the links actually mention CGT or its rank? --Armstrong77 (talk) 00:21, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The reason why I have put the "31+" in the ratings is because it shows that the show was NOT in the top 30. There is nothing on the internet that shows higher then the top 30 shows and I think the ratings table is fine the way it is now.--Dom497 (talk) 00:45, 19 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
