Second eruption on thursday or a fresh paroxysm ?

[edit]

this BBC news article says a second eruption on thursday (implying the 23rd april 2015) sent ash column up to 20km, I think it is probably better described as a second paroxysm of the same eruption, but I'm not an expert. Also the article says chilean authorities (presumably OVDAS or SERNAGEOMIN) suggest total ash equals 210,000,000 cubic metres (7.4×109 cu ft) I guess that's between the two eruption/paroxysms. this blog post looks to have drawn together a reasonable amount of info and calls it a twin eruption - which also seems reasonable, I guess the term paroxysm is used for longer term eruptive sequences, what do you think (linked paroxysm to the only wiki discussion I could find on the matter) ?
