Quite a few edits were made to this article on May 5, 2015 by an editor named Brooksidetheatre. Not only does this username violate WP:ORGNAME (I have posted about this at User talk:Brooksidetheatre#May 2015), the editor might also be easily seen (for obvious reasons) as having an apparent conflict of interest regarding this article. Although these edits were reverted here by Davey2010, I am wondering whether it might be a good idea to add a {{Connected contributor}} template to this article talk page just to make others aware of the matter, especially since the information that was removed by Davey2010 was shortly thereafter re-added here by Bear2002 before being removed again. Any thoughts about this? Not trying to bite anyone. Just thought it might be something worth discussing. Thanks in advance. - Marchjuly (talk) 21:30, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Personally I don't see the point - Although they're affiliated with the theatre they seem to wanna abide by our rules and edit here neutrally so personally I think the template would only serve as a "Name and shame" issue here, But meh that's my 2¢ anyway, –Davey2010Talk21:42, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the input Davey2010. Just for the record, I was just suggesting the "cc" template for user "Brooksidetheatre" and not any other editor. I was only going by Brooksidetheatre's choice of username as was not aware that they or any other editor had declared that they have a COI. I guess as long as they understand WP:COI, then there should be no problem. Would it be acceptable to suggest that they (or anyone else affiliated with the theatre) post here on this talk page before making any major edits/changes to the article per WP:COIADVICE or would that be contrary to WP:OUTING? - Marchjuly (talk) 23:25, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oops sorry - They've said they'll abandon the account so don't see much point but if you want to add the template please do :),
