British Rail?
[edit]Should the title not be "English Electric DP2"?Moletrouser (talk) 09:38, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- Probably correct as it never belonged to BR but if it gets renamed to EE DP2 then it is unlikely that anyone unfamiliar with its story will ever find the article. It would be great if someone could provide details of its use on the "Anglo-Scottish Car Carrier" service which ran for a number of years between King's Cross and Inverness. At the time (65/66) I was at Dunfermline High School and the train used to travel southwards at about 15:05 and was regularly pulled by DP2 to the point that some teachers would let out of class to run across the playing fields to watch it go pastas we kept telling them it was a prototype. This was before the introduction of "Cartics" when the cars were transported in windowless coaches.
