Requested move 6 November 2021
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved to "Brisbane Football Club (1866–1887)" per discussion below. If we had moved it to "Brisbane Football Club (1866)", we wouldn't have achieved much, as it would have been still ambiguous - giving impression it is still active, same goes for "founded" title. —usernamekiran • sign the guestbook • (talk) 13:19, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
Brisbane Football Club (defunct) → ? – The (defunct) disambiguator is generally not very useful, and more precise disambiguation can probably be had. Would Brisbane Football Club (1866) or Brisbane Football Club (1866–1887) make a better title? It appears there is some disagreement as to when the club folded, so I'm unsure if a full year–year disambiguator is appropriate. - Support snow move per discussion at Meta talk page. We generally didn't disambiguate anything as "Defunct" or "deceased". 36.77.100.207 (talk) 23:12, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- Support need for move per nomination and 36.77.100.207. Would support the proposed form Brisbane Football Club (defunct) → Brisbane Football Club (1866) and would not oppose the other proposal: Brisbane Football Club (defunct) → Brisbane Football Club (1866–1887). Would also support Brisbane Football Club (defunct) → Brisbane Football Club (founded 1866). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 06:05, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
