Article name
[edit]Should it not be Brian McKechnie (sportsman)? Granted, he is remembered for the underarm incident, but he was capped 26 times for NZ at rugby and appeared in only 14 ODIs for NZ. Jevansen (talk) 08:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- Article moved. A lot of dual code articles such as this seem to be biased towards Cricket.--MacRusgail (talk) 18:00, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Brian McKechnie (sportsman) → Brian McKechnie –
- WP:PRIMARYTOPIC - The sportsman has represented New Zealand in their two biggest sports, cricket and rugby. Only other person on DAB page is obscure online film critic. Jevansen (talk) 06:29, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- Is he genuinely a dominant meaning neutrally, or only to sports fans? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:44, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
- Due to him being at the centre of the Underarm bowling incident of 1981, I'd suggest most people in Australia and New Zealand have heard of him, whether they follow sport or not. Jevansen (talk) 04:21, 3 August 2011 (UTC)
- Support move and creation of a disambig page. --Bob247 (talk) 00:58, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
- Support: primary topic. IgnorantArmies?! 11:44, 4 August 2011 (UTC)
- Support - double international and at the centre of major controversies in both sports. Grutness...wha? 00:45, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- Support per those above. Also, please note that if this RM is successful, the dab page can be deleted and a hatnote added to the sportsman's article instead (per WP:TWODABS). Jenks24 (talk) 00:07, 7 August 2011 (UTC)
