[edit]What is the source for this comment? "When the Ravens made the playoffs for the first time in 2000, Billick gave his players a syllabus for the entire playoffs, including the Super Bowl, before they had played a single playoff game." My understanding is that Billick prohibited the team from even mentioning the Super Bowl. --BrownHornet21 19:05, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
"Camp Creampuff" Section
[edit]I deleted the "Camp Creampuff" section because, pusuant to Wikipedia's guidelines on biographies of living persons, it lacked any sources and had a biased POV in its writing. BrownHornet21 04:11, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Once the playoffs begin Billick provides his team with a daily schedule all the way through the superbowl so that they do not get overwhelmed as they proceed through the postseason. The "Camp Creampuff" thing is a sobriquet of sorts possibly invented by Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston, and it alludes to the fact that Billick is deferential to veterans almost to a fault.

"Trivia" Section
[edit]- Family name was originally Ballick, changed by his great-grandfather, Will Ballick.
I deleted this from the trivia section because there's no source. I'm posting it here because it's funny as hell.
- Billick has daughter, who is current engaged to former starting QB for the Baltimore Ravens Kyle Boller
this is a completely spurious statement. Boller is the current starter. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.255.195.109 (talk) 19:02, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
fired/lead
[edit]the lead should not mention his being fired today (dec. 31st.) there are much more important things to says about him, the first senetence that his most recent coaching job ended 12/31/07 is good, theres no need for an additional sentence in the lead saying when he was fired. it would be better for the lead to give brief mention to his other coaching jobs. SJMNY (talk) 21:38, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- I made an adjustment. Thanks. Enigmaman (talk) 23:01, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
college football tag
[edit]Is that really necessary? Is every person who played or coached in college going to get tagged? Enigmaman (talk) 06:35, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- imo he isn't known for that at all, it would be a relevant tag only if the section on his college coaching were expanded (with useful info, not filler) but i am by no means an expert on tagging articles. SJMNY (talk) 06:44, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
relevancy
[edit]i removed two bullet points from the misc section... the first said that he is a registered republican and voted for Bush...thats about as relevant as where he buys his groceries unless he is well-known for campaigning for candidates or something along those lines. the second thing i removed was a rather irrelevant unsourced opinion that he is "well known" for his resemblance to actor S. Collins. well known by who? SJMNY (talk) 06:43, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
WikiProject class rating
[edit]This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot (talk) 18:16, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
Interceptions
[edit]The page states that he played QB and CB and that he held "the state record with 21 career interceptions"... is that a combined, as in he threw 20 as a QB and caught one as a CB? :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dlchambers (talk • contribs) 14:16, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, I think it means as a cornerback, he intercepted 21 passes. ;) Enigmaman (talk) 14:54, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
