I'll get to this this weekend.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 03:47, 28 October 2011 (UTC) GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria
- Is it reasonably well written?
- A. Prose quality:
- This is awkward: The ships had crews of 34 officers, 139 petty officers, 1,020 and enlisted men, for a total crew of 1,193.
- See how it reads now.

- B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:

- Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
- A. References to sources:
- B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
- C. No original research:
- A. References to sources:
- Is it broad in its coverage?
- A. Major aspects:
- I believe that the ships were modernized between the wars, at least once. Please summarize the changes during each refit. When and how did Provence lose a turret? Interwar and WWI histories are pretty brief. Do you actually have access to Dumas & Guiglini? That details that period in great detail.
- Not sure how I managed to not include the refit information. I left the service history fairly brief, as expanding it would cover too much detail that would be better served in the individual ship pages. As for Dumas, this article is what I used.
- That's an extract, I think, from the Dumas and Guiglini book, but really only focuses on the technical side of the ships. It's what I used for all the Courbet class articles. But the French-language original is far better; I just have to work up the energy to translate the damn thing.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 23:11, 29 October 2011 (UTC)
- That's better, although I had to fix everything with your ref name of W42. Check to make sure that that's the right page. Link M1897 gun (the French 75!) and double-check Whitley against Dumas, if he covers their refits.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 02:54, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for fixing that - I was on a library computer and in a bit of a hurry when I added the refit info. Didn't even think about the French 75 :) As for Dumas, the GB link is more restricted now than it was, and I can't see the pages that used to be available. I tried a couple of proxy sites to get around the limit, but neither worked. Parsecboy (talk) 11:58, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
- One more reason to despise Google Books. I've got that volume of Warship and I'll take care of things for you.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 15:17, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
