Please explain
[edit]This is going to be part of an important project on early drug addiction in the uk. this committee was the establishment's response to drug addiction in the uk, so please do not delete it. There is virtually no information on early drug addiction, there were some important pioneers in this area who I know about, and have valuable infomation about which should be published here.
It's amazing to me that so little is/was/has been (2829VC (talk) 03:15, 28 January 2011 (UTC)) written!
Please explain more why you think this article should be deletedJohnchapple (talk) 02:35, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- The request for speedy deletion has already been declined (by me). Please, continue to develop the article. LadyofShalott 02:41, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Term of existence?
[edit]The article states when the committee was formed. When was it disbanded? Or did it morph into something else...? Ladyof

Thanks yes, good points! I should find that out; in actual fact, I am probably doing this in a back to front way: I am more interested in the effect this committee had on the independent treatment centres and the DDUs and the doctors at the time, and specifically on one treatment centre which I think deserves a seperate stub I think is it called?. However, the Brain committees reports were very important at the time to drug addiction treatment in the UK.Johnchapple (talk) 04:53, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
"In the interests of transparency", I am using my real names as my user name, it might be a good idea to change it now, before I publish more work, I've looked briefly at the difficulties, it appears that my username will still appear in some logs. Of course, I could just start with a new user name, what do you think, please? It doesn't seem possible to PM someone in Wikipedia!Johnchapple (talk) 01:45, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
