Why did you delete two segments which were helpful.

I wrote about school excursions and productions which were 100% correct. 81.99.6.23 (talk) 18:44, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your question. I removed them for three reasons. Firstly, and most importantly, they were unsourced - they didn't have a reference showing where the information came from and that it was correct. If you look at referencing for beginners, this will help you to add references to the text. Secondly, your information about the productions included the name of a teacher. Wikipedia articles should not generally name people unless the people are important enough to have an article themselves. If you look at the essay on school articles at WP:WPSCH/AG, you'll see it says "The names of current and former teachers should only be included if they are notable in their own right (for example, they are published authors or they have won a teaching award), or they have been the subject of multiple non-trivial press coverage". See also WP:BLPPRIVACY about including people's names. Thirdly, I thought that the excursions and plays etc were run-of-the-mill; activities that take place in almost all schools in the UK, and therefore not anything special about this school.
Hope that helps - you are welcome to add the information back in with references. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 19:28, 27 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
