Bråkenborg
[edit]It seems bracken is rather unlikely in this part of the country, I've long wondered if the name derives from something similar to the Scandinavian bråken borg, to mean something like the battle fortified place/the trouble fortified place. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/br%C3%A5k#Swedish https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/borg#Swedish. Fotherby parish church
[edit]Added a clarification tag as Fotherby still retains a parish church, which makes the assertion of it being demolished questionable.Lacunae (talk) 17:38, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
