Hello. I've reviewed this article per the criteria in WP:GA?. I have never watched an episode of Dexter.
- Images: no images to check
- MOS, neutrality and sources/sourcing okay
- Lead:
- It's a season finale but of which season?
- Is there a reason why the first Canadian broadcast is mentioned, but e.g. not the first UK and Australian broadcast?
- "with his long lost brother" -> "with his long-lost brother"
- "Dexter is up to something" may be to colloquial
- Plot:
- "Dexter searches his house for clues left by the "Ice Truck Killer"," -> can you add a little more context to this? E.g. why Dexter is searching his house in the first place, a name of the episode where the "Ice Truck Killer" plot was introduced if it wasn't this episode (it really makes no sense to me). Just a few words...
- I can follow the rest of the plot
- Production:
- The lead implies that the finale is based on based on Darkly Dreaming Dexter, while here it says the whole season is -> rewrite either one
- Broad in coverage issue: Is there really nothing about actual production (not just differences between the novel)? You can repeat the writers and director here. Other possibilities are the time and location of filming, hired guest stars.
- Reception:
- "He made sense of Rudy making Deborah the brothers' first victim" sounds very strange to me
- "but speculated that it could be discovered the next season." should mention again that Toomey speculated, not no one from the subsentence before
Good article all in all, but the missing context in the Plot section and the lack of broadness in the Production section make me put the article on hold. Please address the above issues within the next seven days per common sense rules. I have this page on my watchlist, so just drop a note here when you think you're done. – sgeureka t•c 14:03, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the review. I'm quite tired now, so I'll probably start working on the article tomorrow. In regards to the production section, I will try and find some more info, but for shows like Dexter, which air on networks like Showtime, there really isn't much production info. However, I will try to dig up something. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 14:43, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
- I have taken care of most of the raised points. As for the production section, I found an unreliable ref that talks about the filming locations: [1]. Would it be acceptable for a GA? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:42, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- The same site has some other great filming info. [2] It's would be a shame if I couldn't use them, they seems so great. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:53, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I am not sure if FA reviewers would allow this source, but I see no problems for a GA since the page designer has taken his own pictures as "proof". You can take the guest actor appearances from the lead for the Production section as well. I am not sure about the significance of the newly added screenshot (WP:NFCC#8) but I'll leave this decision to you; the other issues are resolved now (the plot section makes sense now). I am looking forward to promoting this article soon. – sgeureka t•c 12:37, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
- I added all the production info I could find. I agree that the image is not great, but I really couldn't find any better ones. There were heaps of really good ones at Flickr link here, however I can't save any. It's strange. Anyways, I hope that does it. Actually, Dexter is a great show and I just saw this episode around three weeks ago (I live "down under"), it's a shame I had to spoil it for you. :-( Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 12:14, 13 October 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good now, although the location redressing info reads almost too crufty now. ;-) You should also remove one of the "actually"s, which reads awkward. If webpages don't let you save images, you can cheat them by pushing the "print" button right to F12 on your keyboard, and then insert it into an image editing program. But the article is mostly fine for a GA now, so I'll stop shooing you and promote the article. Dexter started airing in Germany three weeks weeks ago and I saw a funny ad poster for it downtown, but I haven't caught it on television yet because I keep forgetting to tune in. Maybe next week. – sgeureka t•c 19:30, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
