The result of the move request was: Moved to Blue water thesis. There is a consensus to lowercase the title, however a lack of consensus to move to the nominated title. – robertsky (talk) 14:54, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
Blue Water Thesis → Salt water thesis – This concept is not consistently capitalized so it should be decapped, whether "blue water" or "salt water" is used. However, while researching it I discovered that "salt water" seems to be slightly more common. (t · c) buidhe 02:42, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

- Support lowercase MOS:DOCTCAPS would tell us to lowercase this and usage would only confirm this - this ngram, perusal of google scholar results provided by nom and, perusal of JSTOR results (salt water thesis/14 v blue water thesis/20). Considering the various searches, I am not seeing a clear reason to prefer one term over the other. Consequently, I would retain the existing term for the title. - Support lowercase per MOS:CAPS (especially MOS:DOCTCAPS) and the derived WP:NCCAPS. Agreed with Cinderella157 that there's insufficiently conclusive usage evidence to move from "blue" to "salt". — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 09:43, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Support: It's a concept, theory or doctrine. It is not a proper noun and the research above shows that it is not consistently capitalized in sources. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 13:25, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Support per all above. Dicklyon (talk) 02:21, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
