Move to Wiktionary

Opposed: The article was a definition, not an article. However, there is much which can be said about the topic. For now I have copied material from radiometric dating, as a basis for expaning the article. Babakathy (talk) 01:10, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Opposed: Agree with Babakathy. At the very least it should be possible to include a table of mineral v. isotope system showing the various blocking temperatures and maybe some examples of how the study of several minerals and isotope systems from a single locality can give a lot of detail about its cooling (and therefore arguably tectonic) history. More than enough for reasonable size article IMO. Mikenorton (talk) 11:38, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

Closure temperature and blocking temperature are the same thing. I will merge. I propose closure temperature to be the one to be saved because that's the phrase I've always heard and used in geology, but other opinions will be appreciated. Awickert (talk) 05:22, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No opinions in a month an a half; merging. Awickert (talk) 00:20, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
