This is simply a question, for no reason in particular. I'd like another person who read the exceptional book Oliver Twist to tell me their opinion. I was under the impression that Sikes did love Nancy, but subconsciously- he didn't know it until he was haunted with guilt of his murdering her. Even then, he still didn't know it too very well. Can someone tell me if I'm right or wrong?

- I would say that Bill did possess romantic feelings for Nancy but was incapable of portraying them in a 'normal' way. He was clouded by his delusional entitlement fuelled by his toxic masculinity and capabilities of killing anyone in his way. Bill like many own didn't know what he had until he lost it. 84.67.67.244 (talk) 17:48, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
