Name Disambiguation

[edit]

It might be useful to clearly differentiate Bill Knox's use of "Robert MacLeod" from the American writer Robert "Bob" Parker MacLeod (1906-1992) who wrote a number of western novels (Tosco the Stubborn One (1959), The Medicine Bull (1963), The Appaloosa (1963), The Californio aka 100 Rifles)(1966), The Muleskinner (1967), The Running Gun (1969), Ambush at Junction Rock (1970), Six Guns South (1972), Apache Tears (1973), Feather in the Wind (1976)), usually under the name "Robert MacLeod." These western novels are often credited to Bill Knox (as Robert MacLeod), and Bill Knox's crime novels (many published under Robert MacLeod, although this is inconsistent -- the same books sometimes also appeared under Noah Webster or Michael Kirk, Knox's other pseudonyms) are often credited to Robert Parker MacLeod. Robert Parker MacLeod is sometimes listed with Bill Knox's birth and death dates (1928-1999) rather than Robert Parker MacLeod's correct dates (1906-1992). Confusion reigns. 2601:1C1:4000:A470:94D5:1B06:4B44:701C (talk) 12:42, 24 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
