Premiere & first Eviction

[edit]

The premiere episode was not live!! They entered the house on Feb. 21st!! So, the first eviction is NOT on Day 2.

Is there a source for the February 21 move in date? --MSalmon (talk) 10:37, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

They actually moved in on the night of February 20 but this horrible production team is not counting that as Day 1 which is the standard way to do it. As for a source of the information, they talked about on the feeds a lot the first week. Best source you'll get.68.146.28.190 (talk) 07:44, 23 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article title

[edit]

Shouldn't the article title be "Big Brother Canada 1" rather then what it currently is? The show is called Big Brother Canada. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 16:57, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It should remain as is, to match other editions of the series - see Big Brother (U.S.) and Big Brother (UK). The show is officially called just Big Brother, but is referred to as Big Brother Canada to show a distinction between this and the US version, which also airs in Canada. -- Sethjohnson95 17:31 1 March, 2013
well I have to disagree with you... The show is called Big Brother Canada - so says the TV guide, the title card, and even WP's own article (it is not titled Big Brother (Canada)). I get that this a small thing, but we should remain consistent with naming the show's main article and the season article? Perhaps the renaming request should be on the main article - move that to Big Brother (Canada). As an other example of similar naming for international tv shows, see So You Think You Can Dance Australia and how they name the articles for the show and three seasons - the Canadian version of that show did the same thing.--Jordan 1972 (talk) 13:21, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I see your point, and definitely agree that there should be consistency in the article's names. I think that naming the main article Big Brother (Canada) is the best solution for now. -- Sethjohnson95 - 14:31 2 March, 2013
I appreciate the consistancy, but think you have changed the wrong thing... The show is called Big Brother Canada, not Big Brother... I expect there will be push back on the main article about the move? --Jordan 1972 (talk) 20:07, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter about what the whow is called on TV Guides, it is part of the Big Brother franchise and should have a disambiguation after it's title, like the UK and U.S. versions. --MSalmon (talk) 12:07, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Week 3 Nominations

[edit]

I saw earlier that someone had stated that Tom took Gary off the block and replaced AJ, however, since I could not find any reliable sources to confirm this, I changed it back to Gary as nominated and stated that Tom had not yet announced his final nominees for the week. WhiteShadow541 (talk) 17:31, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why are the nominees / veto being put on this page before they even air? This is not a spoiler website. If someone chooses to to watch the live feeds but reads this site, it will spoil these results. Again, the nominees and veto (and all activities really) should only be posted here after they have aired on television. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.239.200.66 (talk) 00:20, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This debate comes up at least once a year on the Big Brother USA articles. I refer to you what somebody else had to say on the matter, "Because there is Live Feed, the results may be posted here. Keep in mind that the shows are only house highlights of what went on in the House prior; Live Feed is not a spoiler per se. Plus results have always been posted here before the episodes air, and I don't see that it should change for people who only watch the episodes. Jandal3c (talk) 05:01, 14 July 2012 (UTC)" In addition, because the live feeds for BBCanada 1 are /FREE/ there should be absolutely no reason why this page does not update alongside the feeds. If you wish not to be spoiled, come back when the season is over. WhiteShadow541 (talk) 15:59, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

What is most shocking is that the results of the double eviction were up before they aired, even though the live feeds have been off since. So, someone is updating based on knowing someone in the audience at the taping. That is beyond a spoiler. One could argue that someone on the Island of a survivor taping is a reliable source for putting the evictions up for the entire season before it has aired. If you are going to use the live feeds, thats fine. But don't go beyond that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.239.200.66 (talk) 02:26, 22 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dates

[edit]

Based on today's broadcast, the Wiki is two days behind on everything. I will now be updating it. -- Sethjohnson95 22:17 14 March 2013

Do we know when the HouseGuests moved into the house? --MSalmon (talk) 21:23, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't been able to find any sources that state when they moved in. --Sethjohnson95 12:06, 17 March 2013 (ET)
I know me either, although Thursday's live eviction looked like it was Day 22 since the last set of highlights were for Day 21. --MSalmon (talk) 16:13, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The bit about Talla cleaning around the house said it was Day 22. It could have just been an error on their part, but they also showed that the nomination ceremony occurred on Day 18. The nomination ceremony happened on the Friday following Danielle's eviction. Again, it is possible that it was an error on their part though. -- Sethjohnson95 12:21, 17 March 2013 (ET)
Maybe, but I would leave the dates as they are now until a source for the move in date can be found (BBCAN did tweet something about it but is has been removed for some reason) --MSalmon (talk) 16:24, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I will definitely be on the lookout for some confirmation on the day though! -- Sethjohnson95 12:25, 17 March 2013 (ET)

AJ's eviction

[edit]

Since when do evictions take place on a Saturday, and since there is no live show? --MSalmon (talk) 09:22, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Common Sense, use twitter, and the LIVE feeds, Big Brother Canada fans went crazy when the live feeds leaked last night for almost 10 minutes that revealed that AJ was evicted and Andrew won HOH and who the have nots were, for this page to post spoilers before the episode airs and now all of a sudden who ever edits this page decides nah lets not post spoilers this time around! doesn't make sense and if you watched Thursday's eviction show, the host said that the houseguests will be surprised with an eviction this Sunday! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.104.70 (talk) 09:52, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to point out, that since the 1st eviction of the season, the live shows are not really live, and whoever updates this page on eviction night, updates the results about 30 minutes to an hour before the actual supposed "live" episode airs on TV and whoever updates the page for eviction nights are always right. The only thing that is live about the eviction episodes is the live audience who tweets/post spoilers all over twitter and the internet. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BigBrotherFANatic (talkcontribs) 10:17, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings

[edit]

I removed the ratings section from the Big Brother Canada page as NO ONE has placed any information regarding the ratings, the only time it was done was on the first episode, so what is the point in keeping that section, when no one is providing that info! Oh and I must apologize, I didn't mean to remove who was evicted and what not in BBC page, my son went a little to happy with my Mac! very sorry! But I really wanted to ask that and sorry for being rude regarding AJ's eviction question! Anyways, I would love to continue helping out as I can! Big Brother US and Canada is my life.... so any way I can help, I will do it! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.96.104.70 (talk) 09:58, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to help don't add in any information without a source and the ratings page can stay --MSalmon (talk) 10:37, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jury Color in Infobox

[edit]

Why are we using purple for jury members now? I heard that BB14 USA used it while I was away and couldn't edit, but prior to that, no other season used that coloring system besides BB8. T (talk) 01:38, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It shouldn't be on there because it doesn't tell us if he was evicted, walked or ejected (even though we know he was evicted). --MSalmon (talk) 08:59, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No controversy section?

[edit]

It has been added. Hitchcock5 (talk) 08:12, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Week 8 Nominations and POV

[edit]

The feeds have been out since this morning (April 13, 2013), yet someone has indicated who Jillbot nominated and who won the POV today. Is this insider info? The noms could be correct as that is what she was most likely to do but unless someone has an inside source the POV winner is nothing but a guess.68.146.28.190 (talk) 02:06, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Talla's eviction

[edit]

Anybody know when Talla was actually evicted (should we put her actual eviction day or Day 70)? --MSalmon (talk) 09:51, 2 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Finale

[edit]

Please do not release the winner of Big Brother until 11 p.m. EDT. Revan46 02:15, 3 May 2013 (UTC)

Jillian Won

[edit]

She won, end of story. Fans who are upset should cease editing the article to overwhelmingly declare she won by accident and that she's the "winner" She won, what's done is done — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.23.137.80 (talk) 08:45, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I agree because adding the asterix isn't needed because there is already a contoversy section. --MSalmon (talk) 09:26, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have Nots

[edit]

Aneal confirmed on Rob Has A Podcast that the Have Nots did not have cold showers. I don't know if that changed later on however. 62.60.118.38 (talk) 11:00, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
