Notability

Does not meet WP:SOLDIER & sig RS coverage not found link, just passing mentions and / or non RS for notability.

No de.wiki article exists. Did not hold a significant command and topped out as Leutnant. Successful completion of missions (sorties flown, # of enemy aircraft shot down, etc) is not part of SOLDIER. A MilHist RfC on this topic has failed to gain consensus in May of 2017:

Please also see a note at MilHist Talk Archives for background behind the redirect. In summary, per the outcome of the discussion at Notability:People on notability of Knight's Cross recipients: permalink, certain recipients were deemed non notable and WP:SOLDIER has been modified accordingly: diff. The articles of these recipients are being redirected to alphabetical lists. K.e.coffman (talk) 03:43, 19 August 2017 (UTC)

Who shot him down?

Shooting down a 100-kill ace like this POS is quite an accomplishment. We know he was last seen over Amvrosiivka dogfighting against P-39s. We need information on any P-39 pilots who claimed a shootdown of a Bf 109 on 29 August 1943 in the area. Chances are, they're a flying ace worthy of an article of their own.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 00:15, 7 November 2021 (UTC)

B class review

B class. However, please clarify or fix the following. Djmaschek (talk) 21:34, 18 April 2022 (UTC)

  • Kuban bridgehead and Kursk, last sentence: "On July, the Gruppe". It looks like there is a specific date missing.
  • Squadron leader and death, sentence 1: "Promoted to an officers rank" > "Promoted to an officer's rank" or "Promoted to officer rank".
  • Squadron leader and death, sentence 2: "temporarily let" > "temporarily led".

Thanks, all done MisterBee1966 (talk) 17:52, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
