Notability
[edit]This BLP is very problematic in terms of notability and sourcing requirements. So far all we have is one website with the gentleman's football statistics. If he is a high-profile player, we need interviews from sports-based RS and additional documentation. If not, the article should be removed until such time as reliable sources become available confirming notability. Jay Dubya (talk) 15:16, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- Further research has confirmed that Algrabli (אלגרבלי בן)is a youth player, and thus fails the instant notability guidelines set out here: Wikipedia:ATHLETE#Association_football (esp. "Youth players are not notable unless they satisfy one of the statements above, or if they can be shown to meet the wider requirements of WP:GNG". My source is this:

- Ben Albrabli (אלגרבלי בן) appears in no English-language sources. He does appear in a number of Hebrew sources, but only as a boiler-plate "player profile". I have found no sources with an interview of אלגרבלי, or that indicate that אלגרבלי has participated in a professional match, or even a blog that speculates that אלגרבלי בן is a favorable target of recruitment or something similar. - Also, the creator of this article created several dozen pages, all focusing on Israeli youth footballers, within about 70 minutes on Feb 17 2014, and all with the same issues as this one. The editor has made no other contributions. See here: Rabota15' Contribution History. While this is not conclusive, it may indicate Wikipedia:Single-purpose_account, a possible COI, or just someone whose love of Israeli youth soccer has driven them to share that love with the world through an encyclopedia (as opposed to say a website about Israeli Youth Soccer) and who may go on to edit additional wiki content. proposed for deletion
[edit]I've notified the creator of deletion proposal and provided advice on how to avoid in the future. Jay Dubya (talk) 17:38, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
- According to Wikipedia:Notability (sports)#Association football, "Players who have played, and managers who have managed in a fully professional league, will generally be regarded as notable. See a list of fully professional leagues kept by WikiProject Football." The one source present in the article, Mr Algrabli's profile at the website of the governing body of football in Israel, the Israel Football Association, confirms he has eight (8) appearances for the team currently lying second in the Israeli Premier League, known for sponsorship reasons as the Winner League, which is listed as a fully professional league. I'll remove the prod. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 13:58, 27 March 2014 (UTC)
