Gall was first?
[edit]I was under the impression, McClintock with the Fox was the first to pass through Bellot Strait -- especially since the article quoted for Gall's achievements, while mentioning his courageous passage, seems nowhere to claim Gall's journey was a first. Am I missing something? -- Syzygy (talk) 10:07, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, and in Boothia Peninsula article it says "Both Roald Amundsen's first successful traverse of the Northwest Passage and Henry Larsen's second successful traverse of the Northwest Passage passed through the Bellot Strait." Should be here for Amundsen's part if its accurate. In the Amundsen article it says he used Peel Sound though. 88.112.63.110 (talk) 23:20, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
