Questions, questions...
[edit]In Morris, 2004, p. 518 note #99, p. 542 he writes: "At Khirbet Beit ‘Awwa the raiders were driven off but they blew up some buildings in nearby Khirbet Beit al Meis."
If the above Khirbet Beit ‘Awwa is Beit Awwa, then I cannot find a Khirbet Beit al Meis close by? Is it this place? If so, what is the Khirbet Beit ‘Awwa close by? Huldra (talk) 23:31, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Huldra: My theory: Khirbet Beit 'Awwa is indeed Beit Awwa. There is a Khirbet Umm al Meis 2km WNW, see here. I guess Morris mistaknly wrote "Beit" instead of "Umm". Zerotalk 00:23, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Zero0000: yeah, you are right, found it on my 12Hebron.jpg map. And it rhymes with the whole paragraph being about the southern front. I assume Khirbet Beit al Meis was one of the many khirbas under Al-Dawayima, it certainly isn't mentioned in the 1922 or 1945 data, Huldra (talk) 23:14, 22 October 2017 (UTC)
