The Initials

A novel “The Initials” is mentioned in Henry James’ first novel “Watch and Ward” (part 2 chapter 3) as being one that Nora favored. I conjecture that this refers to Tautphoeus’ novel of that title published in 1850 (and later and maybe earlier.) ELSchissel (talk) 12:48, 2 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
