This article states that banana paper is frm the "bark of the banana tree," BUT there is no such thing as a banana "tree" because banana is an woody herb that grows yellow fruit.

I found a German article here: http://www.ecopapers.de/?pid=39 This seems to be the source for this article and may have been almost directly translated into English. It contains every value that needs to be citated. Perhaps someone who can speak German can use it to expand this article or to verify the values that need citation; I probably could as I'm German but I'm too lazy now ;) I'm sorry.
