Categorisation query

[edit]

With the recent back and forth, the subject of this article is now categorised among both "Irish Christian monks" and "6th-century Irish abbots" (a subset of "Irish abbots", itself a subset of "Irish Christian monks"). Is the categorisation tree inexact (have there been abbots who were not monks?) or is "monk" redundant when he's already categorised as "abbot", a subcategory of "monk"? It's quite possible that the category tree is inexact. Irish Roman Catholic abbesses is also a subset of "Irish abbots", even though as far as I'm aware none of the abbesses listed ever was an abbot.--Andreas Philopater (talk) 12:46, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
