Baisha Status

Hey Ekdalian generally The Hindu community in Bengal was divided into only two Varnas: Brahmins and Shudras. is it right to mention the "Baisha" Saha here?? do you have some sources that claim sahas are granted The vaishya status?? Nobita456 (talk) 06:41, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with the article Saha (surname)

Merging the "Baishya Saha" article with "Saha (surname)" would streamline content and avoid redundancy, as Baishya Saha is a sub-group within the larger Saha community. Consolidating the articles ensures that readers get a unified, comprehensive view of the surname without fragmenting the information. Oppose. Caste and surname articles are different and should remain distinctively. Saha surname is not exclusively used by Saha caste. There's no content fork in two articles either.Chanchaldm2 (talk) 04:34, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
