References and title

[edit]

I've tagged this article with {{unreferenced}} because it currently cites no references at all for its material. I had hoped to check these references to find out whether the title of this article should be "Augustus Garland", following Wikipedia's standard of "givenname surname" where disambiguation is not necessary, or if there is a compelling reason to use the entire name as the primary title. Although a quick Google check suggests "Augustus Hill Garland" is more common, it's not clear why. I note usage of the WP article, which merely bolsters whatever WP says, and references to books that use the full name, but I also note that articles actually discussing this person don't refer to him as "Hill Garland", but just "Garland", suggesting "Augustus Garland" and "Augustus H. Garland" are quite common.

I have created a redirect from Augustus Garland for now, but expect to switch the two titles so that "Augustus Garland" is the primary title, unless we come up with some credible evidence from reliable sources that recommends against it. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 17:13, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Third Term Presidential

[edit]

I am very curious about his 30 page? "book" Third Term Presidential. What is it about? I can't seem to fond anything about it or access it although I think it's now in the public domain? FloridaArmy (talk) 14:44, 25 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
