Assumption or Dormition?
[edit]I would assume that most of these are Eastern Orthodox and are called Dormition Catherdral locally.--Rumping (talk) 00:21, 18 November 2008 (UTC)

Assumption Cathedral → Cathedral of the Assumption – The names of ecclesiastical buildings take a possessive from the dedication, as in e.g. St Paul's Cathedral and the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine. In some cases, they can be called after their location, e.g. York Minster ("York" is an adjective in that name). There is a particular problem with "Assumption Cathedral" in that could be confused with one of the cathedrals in Asunción (which is Spanish for The Assumption, after which the city is named).
