Did carter write this page himself or maybe his mother wrote it?67.190.205.207 (talk) 03:51, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What does the fact that the woman who replaced him inspired Kelly McGinness' character in "Top Gun" have anything to do with the price of eggs in Denmark? 71.248.179.202 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 14:00, 15 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No doubt a bright fellow as a physicist, but his decisions on gender and trans clearly hurt unit cohesion and readiness — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.49.27.38 (talk) 14:36, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

External link?

[edit]

Would an interview with transcript with Ashton Carter from 1987 be useful here as an external link? Focus of conversation is nuclear weapons policy. (I have a conflict of interest so I shouldn't add it.) http://openvault.wgbh.org/catalog/V_19CDC7C452FE459AA0591052B2F9900B Mccallucc (talk) 13:35, 23 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Is he still married?

[edit]

Sometime after he was sworn in as Secretary of Defense, but not recently, I noticed that at a public appearance (possibly at a Congressional hearing), he wasn't wearing a wedding band on either hand. Of course, it's possible his wedding band was at a jewellery store for resizing, or something. I post this as a suggestion for anyone who might be interested into looking into this and updating the "Personal life" section of the article, if necessary. --71.183.128.251 (talk) 01:41, 26 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
