1996 Fight of the Year

[edit]

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I can find nowhere where it says that Gatti was in the 1996 Fight of the Year. Instead, the 1996 FOTY was Tyson - Holyfield. I have changed the article accordingly. Capmaster 09:50, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

References

[edit]

The first reference cites an article dated July 11 about Gatti's death. However, the reference incorrectly dates it as July 7th. I don't know how to change it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fvgomez2 (talkcontribs) 12:30, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Birth

[edit]

This article only briefly discusses Arturo's personal history. For the little that is mentioned, it states he was born in Calabria. Somebody should verify this because as an aquaintance of the family I will testify they are not from Calabria, but rather from the Commune(town) of San Pietro Infine, Provincia(region) of Casserta, Regione(province/state) of Campagna. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.226.191.86 (talk) 14:45, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed.
On a side note, I went to 6th grade school with Arturo. We hadn't seen each other since, but I was still a little shocked when I read yesterday about his death -- specially that I was on a canoe-camping trip, so I was to be relaxing...
Life is odd, sometimes!

the sidebar beneath his picture still lists his birthplace as Canada (not Italy). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.240.131.60 (talk) 07:11, 10 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Loss to "King Solomon"

[edit]

Linked is the Judeo-Christian Old Testament figure, King Solomon. Not the page of any professional boxer. Perhaps that is a nickname or a boxer who does not have his own article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.28.164.246 (talk) 06:33, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of Death

[edit]

Article needs to be updated to cover what a Canadian coroner ruled recently. Gatti's death was indeed a suicide. --25 March 2012 SN — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.56.21.20 (talk) 19:02, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Rodrigues could not explain how she spent more than 10 hours in the hotel room without realising Gatti was dead."

[edit]

This statement is false and not backed by any source. Amanda R gave an explanation saying that she believed her husband was passed out drunk and that this was not uncommon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by KevinGrem (talkcontribs) 17:19, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
