Requested move

The result of the proposal was moved. --BDD (talk) 19:54, 27 December 2012 (UTC) (non-admin closure)
Arpad Šterbik → Arpad Sterbik – Just expanded the article and every single English language source uses the form Arpad Sterbik, ie. this form is used by the European Handball Federation, the International Handball Federation in their official squad list for the World Championship or handball specialist journal Handball Planet. Since Sterbik has a adventurous life and has three citizenships, of course other forms are also in use, which are clearly listed as alternative names in the article's lead. Thehoboclown (talk) 19:33, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
- Request - Hoboclown, given that in the 2011 World Men's Handball Championship he played for Spain not Serbia, it's fairly clear where his primary nationality now lies, but as it stands not a well researched nomination. http://www.ihf.info/files/CompetitionData/127/pdf/ESP.pdf can't spell Spanish players correctly so fails WP:RS "sources reliable for the statement being made" "best such sources". Please update the nomination with a source that passes WP:RS and shows his Spanish teammates spelled correctly as en.wp practice Category:Olympic handball players of Spain in Spanish, but in the same source shows Arpad Šterbik without the hacek but his teammates with their accents. Please.
- PS: A little bit unsure about adding Spanish maternal names to Serbian nationals, the RTVE London 2012 listing notwithstanding. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:15, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Sure. Here is the official bulletin of the Spanish team for the Olympics issued by the Spanish Handball Federation, and another one, the Spanish squad list for the Euro 2014 qualifications, published by the European Handball Federation, both of them with diacritics.
- I don't think that the question about the usage of the maternal name should be discussed here, however, I'm open to talk over it once the move request is concluded. Thehoboclown (talk) 12:43, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support - thanks, convinced by good quality Spanish sources for a Spanish national team player. The maternal name I suppose why not, now he's Spanish, it makes sense. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:26, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
- Support. Here he is on Spanish ESPN: "Arpad Sterbik" site:espn.go.com. Kauffner (talk) 17:19, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
